You can get more information and assistance from your Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre on 1800 052 222. These centres provide information, support services and education programs for carers from a variety of different cultural backgrounds. Volunteers Australia
To get in touch with local volunteers who may be able to help out at home, contact Volunteering Australia by calling 03 9820 4100.There is also a regular, friendly visiting scheme for people in aged care homes who feel isolated or lonely. It’s called the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Contact your local Commonwealth Carelink Centre on 1800 052 222 for more information.
