The Diversional Therapist provides lifestyle programmes that assist palliative care patients by:* Identifying individual needs through task analysis to meet their needs.
* Regularly evaluating levels of abilities, interest and cultural needs.
* Conducting comprehensive assessments as required.
* Consultation with clients, their carers, and staff.
* Maintaining knowledge of resources available within a facility, and within the community.
* Assisting with the training and supervision of volunteers and staff.
* Facilitating advocacy for clients and their carers.
