Home safety and security

The Your Home Safety and Security Handbook by the Council on the Ageing (COTA) and The Community Liaison Advisory Safety Project (CLASP) is a useful guide to safety in your home. It covers general safety, fire safety, medical safety and security.

Housing for Life

The Master Builders Association has developed a guide, Housing for Life, which contains information about the building design requirements to help people live in their homes comfortably, regardless of their physical ability and securely for as long as possible.

Safety at home – Carers Information Pack

The Carer Information Pack provides practical information for carers. Produced by the Ageing and Aged Care Division of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, the Carer Information Pack is free to carers and provides practical information to support them in their caring role.
