Who to call? Use Talk to someone about this
Once you have used the site to find the information you want, you can use the Talk to someone about this feature to find out who to call. Talk to someone about this will put you in touch with the right people the first time. Located on the right-hand side of most pages on the site, the blue Talk to someone about this box initially looks like this:
Once you click the link you will see a list of the national phone numbers you can call. The numbers in the box relate to the page you are viewing - that way you know that the people you call can help you with what you are interested in, rather than giving you the run-around.
Finding people in your area
As well as giving you national phone numbers to call, Talk to someone about this can give you the phone numbers of people in your local area if you:- Enter your suburb or town (e.g. Roseville, Bendigo or Broome)
- Select your state
- Select 'go'
Aged Care Australia will then find the local numbers that can help you and show them:
On some pages, Aged Care Australia will be unable to give you a local number to call. If this happens you should call the national numbers.
Getting more information
Talk to someone about this provides more than phone numbers - you can find email addresses and websites as well. If you select the name of an organisation in the box you will see more details in a new window:
You can email the organisation, or visit their website, by clicking on the links in the new window. To close the window select the 'close window' link.
