Residents' rights and responsibilities

Living in an aged care home will be different from the way that you have lived before. It’s a new environment, and you are living with many new people all under one roof.

Each aged care home will have different routines and environments. No matter which home you choose, your rights and responsibilities will remain the same. These are outlined in the Charter of Residents’ Rights and Responsibilities (more information).
