| Answer: | Most home care services have some sort of assessment to see what care and support would best meet your needs. The Commonwealth respite and Carelink Centres can provide advice on what care services are available in your area. An ACAT assessment is for people who have more complex needs and require a more comprehensive assessment of their situation. An ACAT assessment is not required for services such as those under the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program, but is required to determine if you are eligible for:
