Question:	Dad has always made decisions about his care, but lately I've been worried that he is not considering all the options. What can we do?
Answer:	As a first step your dad should visit his GP to see if there is a medical cause. The GP may then refer him on to a specialist or might refer him to an ACAT for a comprehensive assessment of his care needs.
