Common question
| Question: | Mum has a War Widow's pension but the home says she is not a pensioner and must pay higher fees. Is this right? |
| Answer: | A War Widow's pension is not an income tested payment, and your mothers fees will be based on her income (including her War Widow's pension) and assets. You can contact Centrelink and the Department of Veterans' Affairs for information and an assessment of her eligibility for an income support payment. Read more (DVA, Fees and Charges)
