Common question

Question: Mum lives in a rural area. How can I get a podiatrist for her?
Answer: There may be a Community Health Centre or Regional Health Service that could provide access to a podiatrist in rural areas. Some doctors also have allied health programs and larger towns may have private allied health practitioners who can provide a fee for service. Ask her doctor for contact service details in her area. Podiatry services may also be available through the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program and the Community Aged Care Package (CACP) in your area. Call 1800 200 422 to find out what services are available in your area.
