Common question
| Question: | My aunt was taken to hospital with a minor infection. They say at her age she should be in a home, although she has been managing quite well. She does not want to go into a home. What can we do? |
| Answer: | You should talk to the hospital social worker or discharge planner and voice your concerns and make sure that you talk to the ACAT who will be doing the assessment for approval to go into an aged care home. The final decision about whether your Aunt goes back home or moves into an aged care home rests with your aunt.
