Common question

Question: Where can I get continence management equipment free or cheap?
Answer: There are some schemes provided by the Australian and State/Territory Governments to assist eligible people with the cost of products and appliances. You should talk to your health worker, continence advisor or the National Continence Helpline about this on 1800 330 066. Information resources on continence are available free of charge by ringing the Helpline. If incontinence is a permanent condition and is due directly to a permanent neurological condition or a permanent and severe physical impairment, you may be eligible for assistance from the Continence Aids Assistance Scheme. If you are 65 or over and work 8 hours a week you also may be eligible. A subsidy of up to $470 a financial year is available to help meet the costs of certain continence aids.
