Common question

Question: What aged care support is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people?
Answer: The Australian Government provides services for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program and under the Aged Care Act 1997. You can also search for aged care homes or aged care services in the community that provide specific services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Some Home and Community Care (HACC) Program services cater specifically to the needs of older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
