Help with aged care homes

Common question

Question: Do aged care homes provide care for specific cultural or linguistic groups?
Answer: To improve the quality of life and care for older people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, the Australian Government subsidises a number of aged care homes run by ethnic community organisations. In addition there are homes which have clusters of people from similar cultural and linguistic backgrounds. The state or territory office of the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care program enables aged care homes and ethnic communities to work together to establish and maintain links between residents of aged care homes and their social, cultural and linguistic networks.
