Common question
| Question: | How can the government be sure that homes meet the required physical standards? |
| Answer: | Each Australian Government-subsidised aged care home has been inspected to ensure that it meets the required standards of fire safety, security, access, temperature control and privacy for residents before it is granted Certification. If the home is not certified it cannot ask residents for accommodation payments.
